Richard Anoba

Mr. Richard Anoba is recognized industry expert with has over fifty years of experience in engineering analysis, system reliability analysis, safety analysis, Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA), project management, design engineering, and power plant operation. He is a registered professional engineer in the states of California and North Carolina, and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American Nuclear Society (ANS). He has been employed by the Atomic Energy Commission, the Energy Research and Development Administration, the Department of Energy, Westinghouse Hanford Company, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Martin Marietta Corporation, Brown and Root Incorporated, Bovay Engineers, Carolina Power & Light Company, Science Applications International Corporation, and Data Systems and Solutions, Anoba Consulting Services, Hughes Associates, Jensen Hughes, and ENERCON. He was the president of Anoba Consulting Services and was an independent consultant providing PRA support services including model updates, model reviews against the ASME PRA Standard, and external event model development. He was the PRA Manager at ENERCON Services and the Director of Risk Informed Engineering at Jensen Hughes. He was involved in the development of PRA models to support the NRCs Individual Plant Evaluations (IPEs) and Individual Plant Evaluations of External Events (IPEEEs) programs. He was a member of the ANS Special Committee for NUREG-1150 (Severe Accident Risks: An Assessment for Five U. S. Nuclear Power Plants) in 2010 He was a contributing author of the NUREG/CR-6850 (EPRI/NRC-RES Fire PRA Methodology for Nuclear Power Facilities) and supported the transition to NFPA 805. He supported various projects related to Seismic Margins Analysis (SMA), Seismic PRA (SPRA), and High Winds PRA (HWPRA).
